BOTC: Pantheon take 4th

After a lengthy hiatus, the infamous Battle of the Clans (BOTC) is back and ready to provide the community with some stellar online events. Pantheon has entered their first return-comp, the Counter-Strike: Source CSS Cup I.

The format is slightly different to previous versions as a single elimination is being used. There will also be no prizes for this cup, but hopefully in the near future we will see the return of BOTC's former head sponsor, Intel.

13 teams have entered the competition, with the inclusion of South Africa's two newest hopefuls, notic and asceNt. The former is made up of ex-Pantheon, Vintage and Mtheory players while the Cape Townians see the return of a number of players to the scene.

We would like to wish all the teams the best of luck, and may the BOTC be as prosperous as it once was.

*UPDATE*

Unfortunately Niel "Force" Spengler's line continues to plague him. Telkom have stated it should be fixed within the month. Captain of Pantheon Source, Wayne "Craan" Smith says the situation came down to playing with 4 players essentially. Changes are currently being made to ensure that Pantheon will be able to field a full strength lineup in the next competition. Notic and miNt will now battle it out in the Grand Finals on Monday the 9th of August. Stay tuned!
