Antwerp Esports Festival (AEF) is upon us and our very own Qoob Gaming is readying up for their first international event. Held in Belgium, the event will span the weekend from the 30th July till 1st August with teams competing for over 10,000 euros in prize money.

Groups A, D, E and F will complete their round robin matches on the 30th, while Qoob's group B, as well as groups C, G and H will battle it out on Saturday the 31st.

Details of the Qoob's schedule and their progress can be found below.

For more detailed info, head over to Tek-9 who be providing in-depth coverage of the entire event.

We once again wish Qoob all the best of luck.

*UPDATE*

With high expectations from both the local community and European counterparts, Qoob Gaming only managed to win 1 of their 6 games, drawing another and losing 5. Looking at the scores, it can be seen that the 8th and 9th seeds of RAGE and YoYotech were just too much for an internationally inexperienced squad. We are however proud of our boys in Qoob as they took on such an uphill battle.

Final standings:

1st. Power Gaming (6,000 euro)
2nd. Fnatic MSI (3,000 euro)
3rd. H2k Gaming (1,750 euro)
4th. RAGE Gaming (1,250 euro)
5th/8th. Team Dignitas
5th/8th. SPEEDLINK
5th/8th. PGS Gaming
5th/8th. MondialServers

Qoob lineup:

Greg "Rora" van der Spuy
Wesley "w1ckeD" Hatfield
Trevor "qu1k_shot" Henry
Alan "K1ddo" Hatfield
Andrew "xiR" Harper
